Joey Logano Early Life & Biography

The racer was born Joseph Thomas Logano in Middletown, Connecticut, on 24 May 1990. He is the son of Thomas J. Logano, who is of Italian ancestry and Deborah Bidduk. He raised the river in Portland, and after a while, he moved to Georgia, where his father was living. His father is the one who helped him to grow his career as a racer. When he was a child and teenager, he used to play ice hockey in addition to racing.

Logano earned the nickname “sliced bread” when he was still very young after he won several championships as a young racer. He began racing when he was only six years old when he was still living in Connecticut. His first win was in 1997 when he won the Eastern Grand National Championship.

Logano’s career began when he was very young, and at the age of 6, he took part as a quarter midget racer. 1997 established his very first victory at the Easter Grand National Championship. This was followed by a junior Honda Division Championship in 1998 and also in 1999, he won the Lt. Mod Division Championship. In addition, he won the New England Regional Championship three times.

Logano ran in for NASCAR Pro Truck Series, where he started first and finished in the second position. He also competed seven times in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, where he won five Championship Series, one at Mansfield and twice during the Southern Division races.

He made his debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2008 at the Dover International Speedway during the Heluva Good! 200.  He won the championship, becoming the youngest winner in the NASCAR series race in his third start.

2012 was a very good year for Joey as he won nine times in the National wide Series. This was followed by winning both the NNS races in 2013, becoming the only driver to four races at Dover in any series.

He started his Xfinity Series in 2015 at Atlanta, and he won the pole and finished in the second position. In 2018 Joey won at the Homestead, and he has crowned the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Champion. He started off the 2020 season by winning Duel 1 at the Bluegreen Vacation Duels 2020.
