An Ado Ekiti Magistrate Court has remanded Ayodele Babatola, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Ado Constituency 1 in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, over alleged rape.
Babatola was arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Ekiti State after a 30-year-old woman, identified as Bukola Oluwaseun, accused him of forcefully having s€x¥al int£rcourse with her at KIIBAT Hotel in the Adebayo area of Ado Ekiti on May 24, 2026.
Confirming the development, Ekiti Police spokesperson, Sunday Abutu, said, “The victim stated that the suspect forcefully had carnal knowledge of her at KIIBAT HOTEL, along Petim Estate, Adebayo Area, Ado-Ekiti.”...... .
