The young man, who was a student at the Sigalagala National Polytechnic, was among a few Kenyans who died during the protests that erupted in major towns in Kenya due to a historic rise in the prices of fuel.
Speaking to KTN, the slain student’s mum said she received a call from her area chief informing her that her son had been killed in the protests.
“The chief told me that my son was out participating in the protests when he was killed and that his body was lying in the mortuary,” she said.
The bereaved mum said her son was in the company of his friend when he met his death.
“During his free time, he helped out his friend in his tuk-tuk business, and he was out with him when chaos erupted,” she added.
