A Kasarani woman who recently went viral for getting tattoos of President William Ruto’s face and slogan is now painfully speaking after an alleged attack from unknown people who left her with serious burn injuries.

Rachel Wandeto is currently receiving treatment after she was accosted and set on fire by masked men who were allegedly demanding money from her.
Speaking in a video shared by Pastor Kanyari, the woman said she was about to visit her friend when she met with the attackers outside the gate. They immediately started demanding money from her.
“Those men have been following me, and they asked me if I was eating the government’s money alone. They forced me to walk with them to a secluded area, and they poured a liquid on me and lit a match,” she said.
She said she sustained serious burns on her hands and feet, adding that the attackers meted out the violence against her because she did not have any money.

Why Rachel Wandeto was dumped by her husband
Earlier, the woman sought help after her husband of more than 10 years dumped her after their differing political views drove a wedge in their marriage.
The mother of two from Mwiki, Kasarani, narrated that trouble in her marriage began when she started supporting President Ruto’s presidency, whereas her husband was a supporter of the ‘wantam’ faction.
“He saw these tattoos as I was going into the shower. I got the tattoos because I am an ardent supporter of the president, and I didn’t care about what would happen. So he chased me away, because he wondered why I did not get his face tattooed on my body,” she said.
