Super Eagles of Nigeria players, Terem Moffi, and Zaidu Sanusi have been crowned champions of the Primeira Liga after FC Porto sealed the 2025-2026 title with a 1-0 win over F.C. Alverca at the Estádio do Dragão in Portugal.

Coach Francesco Farioli guided Porto to the Portuguese title with two matches to spare, as the Dragons clinched their 31st league trophy to remain second only to Benfica in Portugal’s honours list.

The win marks Sanusi’s second league title with Porto. Moffi, who arrived on loan from OGC Nice in January, celebrates the first major trophy of his career with the club.

In Italy, Nigeria’s women’s stars also had reason to celebrate. Super Falcons stars, Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo lifted their first silverware with AS Roma women’s team after a victory over Ternana Women secured the Serie A Femminile title.

Midfielder Manuela Giugliano struck twice to deliver Roma’s third league crown and their third in four seasons.

Roma now turn their attention to a potential domestic double when they face Juventus Women in the Coppa Italia Femminile final on May 24.

Babajide has made nine league appearances this season, contributing three assists, while Oladipo has featured 16 times for the Rome-based women’s football side.
