Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers has been named the UEFA Europa League Player of the Season following a standout campaign that ended with the club lifting the trophy in Istanbul.
Aston Villa F.C. secured their first major European title since 1982 after a dominant 3-0 victory over SC Freiburg in the final.
Rogers played a decisive role in the victory, registering a goal and an assist during the final.
The 23-year-old also made history by becoming the youngest player to score and assist in a single Europa League final.
At 23 years and 298 days old, Rogers further entered the record books as the youngest Englishman to score in a major European final since Steven Gerrard in 2001.
The versatile forward finished the Europa League campaign with three goals and five assists in 15 appearances.
Across all competitions this season, Rogers recorded 27 direct goal involvements, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists.
The Europa League recognition adds to an impressive season for the Villa star, who also won the PFA Young Player of the Year award following his domestic breakthrough campaign.
