A woman has stirred reactions online after narrating how her relationship allegedly collapsed following her decision to connect her boyfriend with a close friend who sells luxury bedsheets.
Lady narrates how friend’s ‘customer care’ destroyed relationship
The lady shared the emotional story on social media, explaining that she was initially excited after her boyfriend relocated to her state, believing they would finally enjoy spending more time together physically instead of maintaining a long-distance relationship.
According to her, the problem began after she introduced her boyfriend to her entrepreneur friend to help furnish his newly rented apartment.
What started as a simple business relationship allegedly became uncomfortable when the friend began sending personal messages beyond normal customer interactions.
“At first it was normal. She delivered the bedsheets, sent price lists, even helped him choose colours,” she wrote. “Next thing I noticed, she started texting him outside business hours.”
Boyfriend, friend eventually stop communicating
The lady revealed that her boyfriend initially showed her the chats and even complained that her friend was becoming “too friendly,” prompting her to confront the businesswoman over the situation.
“She told me she was only maintaining customer relationship because business needs soft approach,” the narrator stated.
However, she claimed the frequent chats, memes, voice notes, and late-night conversations continued until her boyfriend suddenly became distant and eventually ended the relationship. Ironically, she later discovered that the man also stopped communicating with her friend.
Similar relationship betrayal stories have repeatedly gone viral on Nigerian social media platforms in recent years.
