How much does Nairobi woman working in CBD spend on bus fare?

Lastborn is seen in the video holding a pen and notebook as she calculates how much she spends on transport from her KSh 16,000 salary.

Working in Nairobi’s Central Business District, she said she spends KSh 220 one way from her home to work, making it KSh 440 daily.

In a month, she found that she spends KSh 10,560 on transport, leaving her with only KSh 5,440. However, the remaining amount is not enough to cover rent, shopping, or even food.

“I cannot even save anything from all that,” she said.
