Some applicants under the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) 2.0 have started receiving notices that their selected Host Organisations will no longer proceed with their placement after the interview stage.
In the message sent to affected fellows, the programme stated that the Host Organisation “has decided not to proceed with your placement at this time” following the recently concluded interview process.
However, NJFP clarified that the decision does not remove the fellow from the programme. According to the notice, the applicant’s profile has been returned to the Fellowship Pool where it will remain visible to other Host Organisations still searching for fellows.
“As such, your profile has been returned to the Fellowship Pool and remains visible to other Host Organisations for selection,” the message reads.
The programme also assured applicants that they are still eligible and may still receive another placement opportunity if another Host Organisation selects their profile.
“Please be assured that this does not affect your eligibility for the programme, and you may still be contacted by another Host Organisation,” the notice added.
The development means some fellows who already completed interviews may now have to wait for fresh interest from other organisations participating in the NJFP 2.0 scheme.
The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme is designed to connect young Nigerian graduates with private and public sector organisations for work placement and professional development opportunities.
