The Oloke Olooru Obalufon of Okeolooru, Obalufonland in Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Adebisi Mukaila Michael, Oyegbadebo Nitoriolaomoni 1, Okeremi Oyewo 1V, has lauded Governor Ademola Adeleke for his commitment to enhancing the justice system in Osun State
The monarch spoke with newsmen at the inauguration of the Justice of Peace in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
He commended Governor Adeleke’s commitment to an effective justice system in the state.
Oba Adebisi, who was one of the newly-inaugurated Justice of Peace holders, expressed gratitude to the governor for counting him worthy to serve serve the state in that capacity.
The governor conferred the honour on Oba Adebisi and others in line with section 14 of the Osun Magistrate Court Law and in compliance with Section 13 of the same Law,
As Justice of Peace, Oba Adebisi pledged to discharge his duties with integrity, fairness, and diligence to justify the trust reposed in him by the Governor.
He also commended the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Jimi Baba (SAN), for his role in ensuring an effective and efficient legal system in the state.
Governor Ademola Adeleke said the Justice of Peace system aligns with the goal of his administration to bring justice closer to the people.
He said the efforts of the Justice of Peace will reduce the burden on the formal courts in the state
He charged the newly sworn-in Justices of Peace to be ambassadors of peace, honesty, and equity.
He advised them to avoid partisanship, corruption, and abuse of office.
