Photos and videos from the low-key event surfaced on social media on Wednesday, May 19, leaving many fans surprised by the development.
Reports indicate that the wedding was intentionally kept away from public attention until an event decorator involved in the ceremony confirmed it online.
An event decorator identified as @decor_with_dems shared clips and images from the event setup on Instagram while revealing details about the private ceremony.
According to the decorator, the couple deliberately chose to keep the wedding strictly private.
The post read: “The Private Civil Ceremony of Davita & Zlatan🥰A beautifully curated moment designed with love and We Kept it Private,Until Now🥰Thanks to the Omoniyi’s for trusting us❤️.”
Also, Pulse Nigeria confirmed that the private and intimate civil wedding was done last year 2025.
Interestingly, the wedding reports surfaced just months after Zlatan Ibile publicly dismissed claims that Davita Lamai was already his wife.
Back in January, several social media posts referred to Davita as the rapper’s wife, prompting Zlatan to clarify that although she is the mother of his child, they were not legally married at the time.
The singer also expressed frustration over the spread of false information online, explaining that he rarely comments on his private life but felt compelled to address the rumours.
Speculation about a possible marriage between the couple intensified again in March after Davita quietly updated her Instagram name to include “Omoniyi,” which is Zlatan’s surname.
