The Police arrested a man over attempted theft of two weeks old baby in Abia State. The man, identified as Nzubechukwu, was nabbed in the process of snatching a two-week-old child from the mother in Olokoro, Abia State.
The man was said to have confessed that he was contracted by a woman from Amizi Olokoro to steal the baby at the cost of ₦100,000.
The victim’s mother was said to have narrated that the man forcefully gained access into her room, violently struggled for the possession of the child.
The baby fell on the ground, according to the woman, who also said she sustained injury, before the intervention of neighbors who came to her rescue and the child.
The police said the man is undergoing Investigations.
