President Bola Tinubu has won the presidential primary of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Plateau State.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang, the Returning Officer for the primary, announced Tinubu as the winner on Saturday night in Jos.
According to Mutfwang, Tinubu scored 242,023 votes to defeat his rival, Stanley Osifo, who secured 303 votes.
The governor said that the figures were collated from the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
“By the powers vested on me as the returning officer for the APC presidential primary in Plateau, I hereby certify that this is the summary of the votes collated in this state,” he said.
Mutfwang hailed the peaceful, transparent and credible conduct of the exercise in the state.
He commended the party faithful for displaying a high level of maturity and discipline.
