In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said the results of his physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center were “extremely good”. He said he took an “approved, high difficulty” cognitive test and scored 30 out of 30, describing it as “extreme intelligence”.
The US President said it was his fourth such cognitive test and that he had achieved perfect scores in each of them. He also said it was rare for anyone to achieve a perfect score multiple times.
He added that all people running for president and vice president should be required to take high-difficulty cognitive tests, and said Congress and Democrats should demand it.
According to a report from White House physician Dr Sean Barbabella, released after President Trump’s examination, the president is in “excellent health” and “fully fit” to serve.
The report said the President underwent his physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, including multiple screenings and assessments conducted by specialists. It said his cognitive and physical performance were “excellent”.
President Trump was administered the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a screening test for cognitive impairment, and scored 30 out of 30. The report also said he weighed 238 pounds and noted minor issues including bruising on his hands, attributed to frequent handshaking and aspirin use, and slight lower leg swelling that had improved from the previous year.
The physician’s report added that President Trump’s cholesterol levels had improved with medication and that he continued to show strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall health.
