Ronaldo brace fires Al-Nassr to Saudi Pro League crown

Cristiano Ronaldo has won his first Saudi Pro League title with Al-Nassr FC after scoring twice in a decisive 4-1 victory over Damac FC on the final day of the 2025-26 season.

The Portuguese forward finished the campaign with 28 league goals as Al-Nassr secured the title with 86 points, edging rivals Al Hilal SFC by two points.

Ronaldo’s brace also took his Saudi Pro League tally for Al-Nassr to 102 goals, making him the club’s second-highest scorer in the competition’s history.

He now trails former Al-Nassr striker Mohammed Al-Sahlawi by just one goal on the all-time Saudi Pro League scoring list for the club.

Ronaldo had earlier surpassed Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 77 league goals for Al-Nassr.

In all competitions, Ronaldo already leads the modern-era scoring chart for the club with 129 goals, ahead of Al-Sahlawi’s 123 and Hamdallah’s 115.

Al-Nassr entered the final day needing victory to guarantee the title and produced a dominant display at Al-Awwal Park.

Sadio Mané opened the scoring before Kingsley Coman added another after the break.

Ronaldo then scored twice, including a free-kick in the second half to settle the contest.

The 41-year-old received a standing ovation after being substituted late in the game and later celebrated with supporters inside the stadium.

Ronaldo’s latest goals also moved him to 973 official senior career goals for club and country.

The Portugal captain is now 27 goals away from reaching the 1,000-goal milestone ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
