Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has expressed pride in her husband, Prince Odi Okojie, following his victory in the APC primary election.
Prince Odi, via his Instagram page, wrote a heartfelt note after emerging victorious. He appreciated the leaders of his party, its members and supporters, and the good people of his constituency for their trust, encouragement, and overwhelming support.
He stated that he remains committed to serving his people with dedication, loyalty, and integrity and promised to build a stronger future for their constituency.
“Today, I am deeply humbled and honoured to emerge victorious in the APC primary election. I sincerely thank the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Sen. Monday Okpebholo and our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the confidence reposed in me to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming election to return to the National Assembly.
My profound appreciation also goes to the leaders of our party, members, supporters, and the good people of our constituency for your trust, encouragement, and overwhelming support throughout this process. This victory is not mine alone; it belongs to all of us who believe in purposeful leadership, unity, progress, and effective representation.
I remain committed to serving our people with dedication, loyalty, and integrity. Together, we will continue to build a stronger future for our constituency and uphold the ideals of our great party.

In his comment section, Mercy applauded her husband, assuring him that the people are always with him.

Recall that during the 2023 House of Representatives election, Mercy stood solidly behind her husband as she rigorously campaigned for him. When he eventually won, the mother of four shared a video of herself and her husband dancing heartily.
Following his victory, Prince Odi praised her for being the true definition of a supportive wife, which led to his political success.
Since her husband’s entrance into politics, Mercy hasn’t shied from showing off her political side.
In 2024, Mercy Johnson Okojie earned massive backlash for campaigning for Edo State gubernatorial candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo. The movie star was seen at a political rally in Ward 6 Irruekpen, Esan West LGA, campaigning for Senator Okpebholo, as she encouraged women to talk to their husbands and children about voting for the candidate.
Similarly, in 2023, she also came under heavy fire after she publicly endorsed Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term. Johnson shared a scorecard of the Governor, praising him for his performance in Lagos State.
