Tinubu’s government not ready to fight insecurity — Ayodele

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not ready to fight insecurity in Nigeria.

The man of God said this in a statement signed and made available to newsmen by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, on Sunday.

Primate Ayodele made it known that the government isn’t taking the issue seriously because the secret behind insecurity is known to the government and security agencies but they are scared.

He explained that insecurity looks like a curse to the Nigerian government, but the problem started from desperate politicians using terrorists for political purposes, which the government knows about but can’t tackle.

He said: “The Nigerian government isn’t taking the issue of security seriously because it’s looking like a curse to the Nigerian government.

“The secret of insecurity is known to the government and all service chiefs but they are scared.

“They will use this to revolt against Tinubu’s government.

“The genesis of Boko Haram started from politicians using them for political purposes, and at the end of the day, they couldn’t handle them properly.

“This insecurity was caused by desperate politicians, but the government isn’t ready to fight insecurity.”

The man of God revealed that there are traditional rulers involved in the insecurity issue in the country, and even ordinary citizens, but the government chose to ignore every lead to curbing the menace.

He said: “There are people who are masterminds of insecurity, there are some Emirs that are even involved in it, which the government knows about, how come they have not done anything about it?”

Furthermore, Primate Ayodele said Nigeria may not escape insecurity because it’s a business and unless a government is willing to step on toes, it may never end.

He added: “Nigeria may not escape insecurity because it is a business, and unless we have a government that is willing to step on toes to end it, we will continue to have it.

“Sadly, Tinubu’s government doesn’t have the guts to tackle it.

“It is beyond his power.”
