The former governor of Anambra State said discussions surrounding possible presidential aspirants were not his concern at the moment, stressing that his priority was the condition of Nigeria and the welfare of its citizens.
He explained that his political interest was centred on creating a nation where fairness, opportunity, and justice would be accessible to every Nigerian regardless of background, ethnicity, or social status.
According to him, leadership should focus more on improving the lives of ordinary citizens than on political calculations ahead of the next election cycle.
The former presidential candidate stated that he remained committed to promoting policies and ideas capable of strengthening the country’s institutions and improving the standard of living across the nation.
He maintained that Nigeria needed urgent attention in critical sectors affecting daily life.
Obi also spoke about the growing security concerns across different parts of the country, noting that Nigerians should be able to travel and conduct their activities without fear.
He stressed that insecurity had continued to affect families, businesses, and communities, creating fear and uncertainty among citizens.
According to him, the country must move towards a situation where people can live peacefully without worrying about violence, attacks, or killings.
He added that leadership should concentrate on restoring confidence among citizens and ensuring that the safety of lives and property becomes a top national priority.
“Nigeria must become secure enough for citizens to move freely without fear, while families should no longer live in anxiety over insecurity and killings,” Obi said.
