President Donald Trump has announced that he is currently meeting in the Situation Room to make what he described as a “final determination” on a proposed agreement involving Iran, the Strait of Hormuz, and nuclear-related issues.
In a lengthy statement, Trump insisted that Iran must permanently agree never to possess a nuclear weapon, while also demanding that the Strait of Hormuz remain fully open for unrestricted global shipping traffic without tolls.
The former U.S. president further claimed that water mines in the strategic waterway would be removed or destroyed, adding that ships previously delayed by what he described as an “unprecedented Naval Blockade” could now begin returning home.
Trump also referenced a past B2 bomber strike which he alleged buried enriched nuclear material beneath collapsed mountains in Iran. According to him, the United States, alongside China and in coordination with Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), would oversee the excavation and destruction of the material.
He added that “no money will be exchanged until further notice,” while hinting that other undisclosed agreements had also been reached.
