The report suggests that some figures in Trump’s circle suggested the island should be taken by “UAE boots on the ground instead of US,” according to a former senior Trump security official.
Lavan Island was allegedly targeted in covert Emirati strikes earlier this year amid deepening UAE-Israel cooperation during the conflict.
