US-Israel-Iran War News Live Updates: There has been no breakthrough on the war in West Asia after both the US and Iran failed to agree on the latest proposals put forward by each. However, more details are emerging about how involved the other Gulf states have been in the war.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said he “secretly visited” the United Arab Emirates and met with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. A Wall Street Journal report earlier this week said that the UAE had launched covert strikes against Iran in April 2025.

UAE, however, denied any such visit. “The UAE denies what is being circulated regarding a visit by the Israeli Prime Minister or the reception of an Israeli military delegation,” the UAE’s foreign ministry wrote.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump is likely to nudge his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, to nudge Iran to the negotiating table, analysts told Reuters. Trump is in Beijing for a high-stakes talk.
