US Moves to Strip Nigerian Man of Citizenship Over Multi-Million Dollar Fraud Case

The United States Department of Justice has filed a civil complaint seeking to strip Nigerian-born Emmanuel Oluwatosin Kazeem of his American citizenship.

Kazeem had previously been convicted of orchestrating a large-scale scheme involving identity theft and tax fraud that cost US authorities approximately $11.6 million.

The legal action is premised on allegations that his naturalisation as a US citizen was obtained through unlawful or fraudulent means.
