A kind police officer has left many social media users touched after he took it upon himself to calm a devastated father at Utumishi Girls Academy.

The man, visibly distressed, sad, and angry, demanded to see his daughter or receive any information about her, but no one seemed to listen.

He complained while trying to hold back his tears, lashing out at politicians who had visited the school.

“This is not a political rally where you come and talk and say a lot of things. How is that helping us? It is very wrong. This is not a campaign ground. I am so tired,” he said.

While he was speaking, a police officer who had won hearts online approached and hugged him in a tight, warm embrace.

The officer did not stop him from speaking his mind but simply held him tightly as his colleague tried to calm the man down.

The distressed father revealed that he had been at the school since morning but was yet to see his daughter or receive any information about her whereabouts.

Many who were present surrounded them and sympathised with the situation as it unfolded.

Social media users praised the officer’s compassion, with many saying the gesture brought humanity and comfort during a deeply painful tragedy.
