Human rights activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has stirred reactions online after making strong comments against social media commentator VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM.
In a statement circulating online, Sowore declared that he no longer watches VDM’s videos, accusing the commentator of lacking integrity and allegedly aligning himself with political interests.
According to Sowore:
“I stopped listening to VDM videos. He has no integrity whatsoever and he doesn’t care about Nigerians. VDM is on the payroll of the APC city boys.”
The activist further suggested that VDM’s lifestyle and access to influential figures may have changed him.
“Someone who has never tasted good life before had an opportunity to dine with the Govt. What do y’all expect?”
Sowore’s comments quickly sparked intense debate online, with social media users taking sides in the ongoing tension between both personalities.
While some Nigerians agreed with Sowore’s remarks, others defended VDM, insisting he has consistently spoken on issues affecting ordinary citizens.
