A Nigerian man stirred up conversation online after sharing a video of himself filming a Chinese police officer while the officer was on duty.
Rather than reacting negatively, the officer remained composed and raised no objection, as recording law enforcement in public is a generally accepted practice in China.
The clip quickly gained traction and ignited a wave of debate among Nigerians, many of whom drew sharp comparisons with the attitude of police officers back home.
Nigerian police have long been criticized for reacting with hostility ranging from verbal threats to outright aggression whenever members of the public attempt to record them while on duty, a stark contrast to the calm and professional demeanor displayed by the Chinese officer in the video.
