Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has revealed that he allegedly rejected an offer to join Mavin Records even after being presented with a $1 million deal, saying his personality and lifestyle choices played a major role in the decision.

The rapper made the disclosure in a post shared on his official X account, where he explained that he is not comfortable with the constant online engagement and heavy social media presence often expected from mainstream artistes.

According to him, his preference for privacy and minimal online interaction clashed with what he believed would come with signing to a major label.

“Need to get this off my chest before chanel drops, the reason I didn’t sign to mavin when they were begging me with a million dollars is cos i don’t really like posting,” he wrote.

He further described himself as someone who prefers to stay out of constant digital visibility, adding that he is more comfortable with rare social media activity than regular fan engagement.

“I prefer 1 tweet per year than engaging my fans, I’m too big for that, I’m mysterious.”
