Award-Winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, pofessionally known as Wizkid, has once again made history as the first African artist to surpass 11billion total streams on Spotify across all his credits.…....
This was announced on Tuesday by music data handle #ChaftsAfrica via X , naming him the first African artist to reach the milestone.
The post reads, “First African artists to reach major Spotify milestones 1 billion — Wizkid, 2 billion Wizkid, 10 billion Wizkid, 11 billion Wizkid.”
The news comes on the heels of the recent release of his collaboration with DJ Tunez titled State of Mind, released on May 15, 2026. The single recorded over 685,000 global streams on Spotify in its first full day.
