“You want to tell me there’s no genocide? There’s genocide in Nigeria now. We’re only pretending,” he said, expressing concern over what he described as a worsening humanitarian situation.
The cleric further criticized what he perceives as a lack of urgency among leaders, claiming that human life is not being prioritized. “It shows that they are not caring about human lives,” he added.
Ayodele also alleged that there is an environment where people are discouraged from speaking out about the crisis. “They don’t want anybody to talk,” he stated, warning that suppressing concerns could worsen the situation.
He went on to caution that continued neglect could lead to consequences, referencing what he described as inevitable repercussions. “There is what they call nemesis,” he said, suggesting that actions or inactions could eventually have far-reaching effects.
