Amosun Hails APC’s Deputy Governorship Pick in Ogun, Backs Yayi–Balogun Ticket For 2027

The Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Akeem Akintayo Amosun, has commended the selection of Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Balogun as the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Amosun described the choice as a “strategic and well-considered decision,” noting that Balogun’s emergence reflects the party’s commitment to competence and merit.

In a statement issued through his media aide on Thursday, the RMAFC commissioner said Balogun’s extensive experience in the private sector, particularly in financial management and security administration, would strengthen the governorship bid of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

He said the pairing of Adeola and Balogun presents a formidable team capable of delivering effective governance, prudent economic management, and people-focused policies in Ogun State.

“The emergence of Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Balogun is a commendable development and a clear case of putting the right person in the right position.

Her professional background and administrative experience will add significant value to the leadership vision Senator Adeola seeks to offer the people,” Amosun stated.

The commissioner further described the Yayi–Balogun ticket as a balanced combination that embodies competence, integrity, and a shared commitment to the development of the state.

He called on party members, stakeholders, and residents of Ogun State to rally behind the APC candidates to ensure victory at the polls in 2027.

Amosun also urged eligible voters to participate actively in the electoral process, expressing confidence that the APC ticket possesses the capacity to drive socio-economic growth and sustainable development in the state.

He reaffirmed his support for leaders and initiatives that promote economic progress and long-term development in Ogun State.
