APC Youths in Badagry Division Stage Solidarity Rally; Applaud Tinubu, Ojelabi

The Lagos State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Acme Road, Ikeja, witnessed a massive turnout on Tuesday, 23 June, 2026, as youths from across the Badagry Division staged a solidarity and appreciation rally in honour of the Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The rally, which drew participants from Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Ojo, and Badagry Local Government Areas, transformed the party secretariat into a centre of celebration as the youths commended the party leadership for promoting unity, peace, and internal democracy.

Addressing journalists during the event, the leader of the delegation, Comrade Aladeotan David, popularly known as “Water” from Badagry West, praised Pastor Ojelabi for his inclusive leadership style and commitment to sustaining harmony within the party.

According to him, the peaceful conduct of the recently concluded APC primary elections in Lagos State reflected the maturity of the party’s leadership and its determination to uphold democratic principles.

“Pastor Ojelabi has demonstrated exceptional leadership by ensuring a transparent and orderly process. His ability to unite members across different interests has further strengthened the APC in Lagos State,” he said.

Also speaking, Ambassador Saheed Tijani from Iba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) commended the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), led by Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, for providing strategic direction and guidance to the party. He described the council as a stabilising force that has contributed significantly to the growth and success of the APC in Lagos State.

The youths also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to national development.

They further celebrated the emergence of Princess Damilola Sonayon-James as the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, describing her selection as a recognition of competence, inclusiveness, and youth participation in governance.

Responding on behalf of the party leadership, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, accompanied by the APC Acting National Vice Chairman (South-West), Dr. Lateef Ibirogba, and other members of the party’s State Executive Committee, thanked the youths for their support. He urged them to remain committed to the ideals of the party while continuing to contribute positively to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria.
