The Lagos State Government has announced that applications for the 2026 Cohort of the Public Service Accelerator Programme (PSAP) will open on June 22, 2026. The programme is organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Establishments and Training to help develop the next generation of leaders in the public sector.
The Public Service Accelerator Programme is a leadership and capacity-building initiative designed for high-potential civil servants in Lagos State. It aims to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to improve service delivery and support government reforms.
PSAP is a three-month hybrid programme that combines both virtual and physical learning activities. Participants will take part in expert-led training sessions, mentoring opportunities, practical projects, and knowledge-sharing activities. The programme is focused on helping officers contribute effectively to the implementation of the T.H.E.M.E.S+ agenda and other government priorities.
Structure of the Programme
The programme combines different learning methods, including:
- Virtual learning sessions
- Physical classroom sessions
- Experiential learning activities
- Site visits and case studies
- Group projects
- Mentoring sessions with senior public sector leaders
Participants will also engage in team-based projects and peer learning activities designed to strengthen leadership and problem-solving skills.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to Lagos State Civil Servants currently on Grade Levels 12 to 14 across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
Officers currently on Grade Level 10 who are awaiting confirmed promotion to Grade Level 12 from the most recent promotion exercise are also eligible to apply.
Applications open on June 22, 2026, and close on July 3, 2026. Interested and eligible officers are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date.
