As investigations into her murder continue, Ngina’s boyfriend, Dennis Mwangi, was arrested to assist with the probe.
The young man told police officers that he had been away from his house and returned to find the door locked. After searching for the spare key, he opened the door and allegedly found Ngina’s body hidden under the bed.
Speaking at Thika Police Station, where they had gone to follow up on the case, Ngina’s family pleaded with those responsible to return her missing body parts.
They described her as a bubbly and kind-hearted young woman who never had problems with those around her.
“What happened is beyond human comprehension. How can someone be so brutal to a fellow human being? She was almost done with school, and we were looking forward to what the future had in store for her,” said a relative.
Her parents identified the body and could barely speak as they were captured on video, distraught and in tears, struggling to come to terms with the loss of their firstborn child.
