Bring Your Evidence to Court — Peter Obi Challenges Kenneth Okonkwo

The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), Peter Obi, has expressed readiness to face actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo in court over allegations made against him.

Speaking on the matter, Peter Obi said the legal action became necessary after Kenneth Okonkwo suggested that he had more revelations to make about him beyond the allegations already in the public domain.

“The issue of taking Kenneth Okonkwo to court wouldn’t have arisen if he had stopped at those allegations. But he claimed he still has more he would expose about me in the future,” Peter Obi stated.

The former Anambra State governor said he welcomed the opportunity for a judicial examination of the claims, insisting that the courtroom would provide the appropriate platform for any evidence to be presented before the public.

“So I am very happy to take him to court so that he can expose me publicly, alongside other Nigerians. If any of them has any criminal allegations against me, they should bring it to court,” he added.

Peter Obi maintained that he has nothing to hide and encouraged anyone with credible evidence of wrongdoing against him to submit it through the proper legal channels.
