Following news of her child’s birth after many years of waiting, clips from Nigerian celebrity designer Luminee’s baby shower have surfaced online.
It is no longer news that the popular designer welcomed her second child with controversial actor, Baba Ijesha.
In videos making rounds online, the new mum was thrown a surprise baby shower by her close celebrity friends, Eniola Ajao and Mercy Aigbe.
According to reports, Eniola, who is one of her biggest clients, was the one who pulled the surprise and reached out to everyone.
In one of the clips, Luminee was captured breaking down into tears as she walked into the event.
Kemi Filani reported hours ago that the Yoruba actor, who was imprisoned for raping a minor, announced that he had welcomed a child with the celebrity stylist. He said that God had been writing his story and had given him more than he prayed for – a wife and now a baby boy.
Confirming the news, Luminee expressed how overwhelmed she was with joy at their baby’s birth. She affirmed her love for Ijesha, saying he is one in a million and his heart is pure.
Recall that in 2021, comedienne Princess accused Ijesha of defiling her 14-year-old ward. In a video that was made available online, the actress accused Baba Ijesha of molesting her daughter without consent.
In 2022, Baba Ijesha had bagged 5 years imprisonment for raping comedienne, Princess’s 14 years old daughter.
On Friday, November 15th, 2025, the famous actor was released from prison, after spending over three years in custody over alleged sexual assault.
Announcing his release, actor Yomi Fabiyi shared on Instagram that he had been cleared by the Appeal Court. He stated that Ijesha wasn’t just back, but was better, and expressed his happiness that he had been cleared.
Speaking out, Baba Ijesha, in an interview with Biola, had addressed his rape allegations, maintaining that he isn’t a pedophile nor a rapist. He said Princess knows she has betrayed everyone she has ever been friends with, and expressed how hurt he was by how Iyabo Ojo turned on him. He noted that he had taken care of her kids when they were younger, yet she doubted him.
