“Everyone In Lagos Has A G-Wagon, It’s No Longer Special To Me”- Diana Eneje

Nigerian influencer Diana Eneje has stirred reactions online after openly expressing her changing feelings about the popular luxury SUV, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, especially due to its widespread presence in Lagos.

In her words, she said:

“Everyone in Lagos has a G-Wagon, and it’s annoying because it used to be my favourite car. I don’t think I still want one because I like to be unique.”

Her statement reflects a shift in personal taste, driven by what she describes as the growing commonality of the once highly coveted luxury vehicle among elites and influencers in Lagos.

The G-Wagon, long regarded as a symbol of wealth and status, has become increasingly visible in Nigeria’s commercial capital, where luxury cars are often used as markers of success. However, Diana’s comment suggests that overexposure may be affecting its appeal for some people who value exclusivity.

The remark has since triggered mixed reactions across social media, with users divided between those who agree that luxury trends are becoming “overused” and others who believe status symbols naturally become more widespread over time.
