Founder of Penpushing Media to Bury Foster Mother, Dame Oreoluwa Adedeji, in Ilesa June 13

The burial arrangements for Dame Oreoluwa Kayode-Adedeji, the late foster mother of the Founder of Penpushing Media, Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, have been announced, with the final interment scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, in her hometown, Ilesa.

Dame Adedeji passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, at the age of 84. She was described by her foster son, the journalist and media entrepreneur, as a strong influence on his upbringing and personal development, a role he said he remains deeply grateful for.

According to the funeral programme released by the family, activities will begin on Monday, June 8, 2026, with a tribute session organised by the management of Omotayo Maternity in Ibadan, held at a hall near the facility in Oke Ado by 12 noon.

On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, her remains will arrive for lying-in-state at the Omotayo Maternity reception between 9:00am and 11:00am, followed by a service of songs at her residence at Oni and Sons, Ibadan, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

The programme continues on Thursday, June 11, 2026, with a commendation service at Oke Ado Methodist Church between 9:00am and 11:00am. Later that day, there will be a town procession, lying-in-state in her hometown of Ilare-Ijesa, and a reception at her residence. The body is expected to depart Ilare-Ijesa between 5:00pm and 6:00pm before arriving at Imo, Ilesa around 6:30pm.

A Christian wake keep will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Imo, Ilesa, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

The final burial service will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Methodist Church, Otapete, Ilesa, from 9:00am to 12 noon. A reception will follow afterward at Zenababs Event Centre, Zenabab Half Moon Resort, along Ijebu-Jesa Road in Osun State.
