Hausa-Speaking Tribes and Northerners Are Holding Nigeria Back — VeryDarkMan

Social media personality VeryDarkMan has come under criticism after making controversial remarks about Hausa-speaking communities and northerners in Nigeria.

In a video shared online, VeryDarkMan claimed that many people in the region have been conditioned to live in poverty and remain trapped in it for generations. He also alleged that some of the country’s major security challenges, including t*rr+rism, b+nditry, and k!dn++pping, are largely associated with the North.

The activist further questioned the role of Hausa people in Nigeria’s development, asking, “What is a Hausa man good for in Nigeria?”

He also claimed that many children in the region are exposed to street begging from an early age, alleging that a large number are raised within a culture that encourages the practice.

His comments have sparked heated debate on social media, with some Nigerians agreeing with parts of his criticism, while others described the remarks as offensive, divisive, and unfair to millions of people from the region.

The statements continue to generate reactions online as discussions about poverty, insecurity, education, and development in Northern Nigeria remain ongoing.
