Former Big Brother Naija housemate Angel Smith has slammed celebrity designer Luminee for welcoming a child with Baba Ijesha.
Kemi Filani reported hours ago that the Yoruba actor, who was imprisoned for raping a minor, announced that he had welcomed a child with the celebrity stylist. He said that God had been writing his story and had given him more than he prayed for – a wife and now a baby boy.
Confirming the news, Luminee expressed how overwhelmed she was with joy at their baby’s birth. She affirmed her love for Ijesha, saying he is one in a million and his heart is pure.
Taking to the comment section of the designer’s post, she expressed disappointment with the news, writing, “Ew”.
Not done, Angel questioned how a woman could have a baby, with the actor knowing his crime.
“How can you, as a woman, have a baby with this person, knowing his crime. You had a child with someone who committed such a visceral crime against another child. Ka chineke chebe anyi ka ekwensu ghara iduba anyi n’olulu, ha”.
Recall that in 2021, comedienne Princess accused Ijesha of defiling her 14-year-old ward. In a video that was made available online, the actress accused Baba Ijesha of molesting her daughter without consent.
In 2022, Baba Ijesha had bagged 5 years imprisonment for raping comedienne, Princess’s 14 years old daughter.
On Friday, November 15th, 2025, the famous actor was released from prison, after spending over three years in custody over alleged sexual assault.
Announcing his release, actor Yomi Fabiyi shared on Instagram that he had been cleared by the Appeal Court. He stated that Ijesha wasn’t just back, but was better, and expressed his happiness that he had been cleared.
Speaking out, Baba Ijesha, in an interview with Biola, had addressed his rape allegations, maintaining that he isn’t a pedophile nor a rapist. He said Princess knows she has betrayed everyone she has ever been friends with, and expressed how hurt he was by how Iyabo Ojo turned on him. He noted that he had taken care of her kids when they were younger, yet she doubted him.
