In a successful operation, local hunters working with security operatives have rescued a victim from suspected kidnappers.
According to the Ondo State Police Command, the operation was carried out in Ikare, Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State .
The police spokesperson confirmed that the combined team of operatives and hunters responded to a report of abduction and engaged the kidnappers in a fierce gun battle.
The operation resulted in the neutralization of three suspected kidnappers, and two suspects, identified as Yahaya Isa (20) and Ismail Ismail, were arrested .
The victim, Mr. Tijani Aremu, was rescued unharmed and has since been taken to the hospital for medical examination .
The police spokesperson commended the local hunters for their bravery and collaboration, stating that the operation demonstrates the effectiveness of community partnership in tackling insecurity.
