A Lagos mother has recounted the harrowing moment she discovered her trusted housemaid had been systematically abusing her infant son, including physical violence and neglect, while the young nanny engaged in sexual activity in her home.
In a deeply emotional social media post, the woman, identified as Didi Horsfall, detailed how she was left traumatised after reviewing footage from her home CCTV system. The video revealed that her seven-month-old boy had been subjected to severe mistreatment by the teenage maid, who was entrusted with his care.

According to the account, the nanny was found to have been starving the infant while consuming the food purchased for him. The mother, who noted she spent significant sums to ensure her son ate well, expressed shock that the boy’s weight loss was due to starvation rather than natural causes.
The CCTV footage reportedly captured the maid kicking the baby as he attempted to crawl, slapping him, and leaving him to cry helplessly without comfort. The mother described her son as a “little man” who simply needed a cuddle to sleep.
Beyond the physical abuse, the mother alleged the housemaid engaged in sexual activity with her boyfriend within the home while the infant was left in the care of security guards. This breach of trust compounded the family’s distress. watch video
