Residents of a Lagos community were left stunned after a dramatic incident unfolded when a woman described as a high-end commercial sex worker, popularly known as an “olosho,” was allegedly caught stealing cash and mobile phones from a client.
The incident, which reportedly occurred in one of the city’s busy residential areas, quickly attracted a crowd after the woman was accused of taking valuable items belonging to a man she had visited earlier in the day. WATCH FULL VIDEO HERE…
According to eyewitness, the client allegedly noticed that a large sum of money and two smartphones were missing shortly after the woman left his apartment. Suspicious of her movements, he reportedly contacted friends and neighbors who helped trace her whereabouts.
Sources claimed that after confronting the woman, some of the missing items were allegedly discovered in her possession. The situation quickly escalated as an angry crowd gathered around the scene.
In videos circulating on social media, the woman was seen being publicly humiliated and paraded through nearby streets while onlookers shouted accusations at her. The footage sparked widespread reactions online, with many expressing shock over both the alleged theft and the manner in which she was treated.
One eyewitness, who identified himself simply as Kunle, said the atmosphere became tense within minutes.
“People were angry because they believed she stole from the man. Before anyone could stop them, the crowd had already taken matters into their own hands,” he said.
Another resident described the scene as chaotic, noting that several people attempted to intervene while others encouraged the public parade.
The woman reportedly pleaded with the crowd and denied some of the allegations against her. However, the angry mob refused to listen as the situation continued to draw attention from passersby.
The incident has reignited discussions about mob justice and public humiliation in Nigeria. While many condemned the alleged act of theft, others argued that no suspect should be subjected to such treatment without a proper investigation by law enforcement authorities.
Legal experts have repeatedly warned that taking the law into one’s own hands is a criminal offence and can result in serious consequences for those involved.
