India has urged its citizens in Iran to leave the country using available transport and advised against travel to Iran, as the embassy renewed its advisory amid regional developments.

In an advisory issued on June 8, the Embassy of India in Tehran said it was reiterating its earlier guidance in view of the latest developments in the region.

“In view of the latest developments in the region, the Embassy reiterates its earlier advice to all Indian Nationals to avoid any travel to Iran,” the embassy said.
The mission also advised Indians currently in Iran to leave the country. “Indian Nationals presently in Iran are also advised to exit the country by available means of transport,” it said.
The latest advisory comes amid ongoing regional tensions. India has been monitoring developments and has repeatedly urged its citizens to exercise caution and follow updates issued by the embassy.
