“It affected my left hand and some parts of my face”- Singer Kehinde Adegbodu breaks silence following fire incident, calls for prayers (Video)

Nigerian gospel singer Kehinde Adegbodu has released a statement following a fire incident at his house.

In a video making the rounds online, he assured his fans that he is medically fit after a minor house fire accident that affected his face and left hand.

He said he decided not to post about it and assured his fans that it wasn’t a spiritual attack. According to him, everyone is battling one of two things, medically and spiritually. Kehinde admonished his fans to remember him in prayers.

The singer also addressed those telling him to reduce his alcohol consumption, letting them know that it wasn’t the cause of the fire incident. He said he lost weight because of his health, as he noted how many body shamed him after his twin’s death.

“To everyone worried about me, I am very okay and medically fit. I had a minor fire in the house, but I decided not to post about it on social media. It affected my left hand and some parts of my face, including my lips. It was not a spiritual attack. Everyone has one or two things they are battling with medically and spiritually. Just remember me in your prayers

To those saying my alcohol consumption is too much, alcohol didn’t cause the fire. I lost some weight because of my health. When Taiwo passed away, people called me that my stomach was too big and I should work on it. I am not sick”.

Kemi Filani reported in March, that the singer had passed away. According to reports on Facebook, the gospel singer, who is a twin, died in the middle of the night.

On Monday, March 31st, his family held a Wake-keep and Songs of Service for him, with his friends, lovers, and Nollywood actors in attendance. The gospel singer was laid to rest a day later, amidst tears.

Sharing a video from the wake-keep, Muyiwa Ademola paid tribute to him, noting that the world lost one of the most talented singers he has ever known. He prayed that the singer’s soul rest in peace.

After the burial, in a video he shared online, Kehinde cried out following an attack from armed robbers. He claimed he wasn’t around when the incident happened, but his brother’s wife and children were. The robbers carted away cash and valuables, intending to collect the donations made during his brother’s burial.

Opening up on his twin’s death in an interview with Biola Bayo, he said he was still in denial and constantly goes to his brother’s graveside with their band members to speak to him. The singer said he never thought of losing Taiwo because of how active he was the day he died. Kehinde said there is a death prophecy on him, as someone called him, saying he would die very soon.
