Content creator JJ Exclusive has joined the growing online debate surrounding rapper YCee and streamer Peller, defending Peller’s style of content creation.
In a video circulating on social media, JJ Exclusive argued that while some people may consider Peller’s content “trash,” many others see it as entertainment.
He maintained that the streamer’s popularity is evidence that audiences derive value and enjoyment from what he produces.
Drawing a comparison with IShowSpeed, JJ questioned why Peller’s content is criticized while similar forms of online entertainment receive global acceptance.
He also challenged YCee’s criticism by arguing that music is not necessarily educational either.
According to him, many songs, including those by YCee, focus primarily on entertainment rather than academic or instructional content.
He questioned why content creators should be held to a different standard.
The comments come after YCee criticized what he described as “Peller culture” or an “Olodo uprising,” arguing that rewarding sensational online behavior could discourage young people from valuing education.
“Don’t call Peller’s culture an olodo culture or that he’s an Olodo he’s doing trash. Bro it is trash to you but it is entertainment to a lot of people. Ycee open your brain. If people don’t find Peller entertaining they will not be watching him.
People sit down for hours watching this boy for hours. Some people call him their joy giver. That’s entertainment. That’s value. What’s the difference between Peller and Ishowspeed? YCee is anything educational about your music? What is educational about your own video? Ycee I’m asking you? You dey talk about university for your rap? You dey talk about cost of kiniko for your rap? Is it not ny@sh, yaho0 you dey talk about for your music be that? Even people wey carry school for head them still dey jam Una music. That’s value. Your head !s not c0rrect bro….” he said.
