The Lagos State Police Command has dismissed viral social media reports claiming that Ibeju-Lekki, Imota, Oke-Afo and other parts of Lagos State are under attack by armed bandits.
In a statement issued on June 1, 2026, the Command described the circulating posts as false, misleading, and capable of creating unnecessary panic among residents.
It clarified that there is no security invasion or coordinated attack in any part of Lagos State, stressing that schools and communities remain safe under sustained police surveillance and security deployment....... .
