JUST-IN: Police Finally Arrests Three Suspected Kidnappers Seen Flaunting AK-47 In Viral Video

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested three suspected kidnappers captured in a viral video displaying AK-47 r+fles, amm¥nition, and walkie-talkies while dressed in military camouflage.The Viral video.

FCT Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Sanusi, said he ordered an immediate forensic investigation and manhunt after the footage surfaced online. According to him, digital forensic analysis and intelligence gathering led operatives to the suspects’ hideout.

The suspects were apprehended during a coordinated early-morning raid carried out on May 25 at about 3:22 a.m. in Runji Village, Zuba. The operation involved the FCT Police VCRU Sector 5 and officers from the Zuba Division under the leadership of the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Ogu Caleb Ikechukwu.

Those arrested were identified as Umar Babangida (25), Adamu Yeti (22), and Yahaya Idris (24), all residents of Rijana, Kaduna State.

Preliminary findings revealed that the suspects allegedly obtained the AK-47 r+fles from their gang leader, known as “Esco,” who is from Rijana and is currently on the run. Investigators also recovered additional videos and photographs from the suspects’ mobile phones showing them posing with military camouflage, high-caliber we@pons, and communication gadgets.

The suspects remain in police custody for further interrogation, while efforts are ongoing to track down Esco and other fleeing members of the gang and recover the firearms used by the syndicate.
