A Kenyan family is desperately searching for their loved one after he went missing in Dubai under unclear circumstances, sparking concern among friends, relatives and members of the Kenyan community in the United Arab Emirates.

Mathew Kiprop Lagat was last seen on June 13 at Jumeirah Beach, one of Dubai’s most popular waterfront destinations.

Since then, neither his family nor his friends have been able to establish his whereabouts, despite extensive efforts to trace him.

According to relatives, Mathew had visited the beach before he disappeared. Days later, there has still been no contact from him, leaving his family increasingly worried about his safety and well-being.

Friends and family members say they have reached out to the relevant authorities in an effort to obtain information that could help locate him, but the search has so far yielded no breakthrough.
Loved ones are urging members of the public to share Mathew’s details widely in the hope that someone may have seen him or can provide information about his movements on the day he vanished.
How to contact Mathew’s family
Before his disappearance, Mathew had been working with KABI Taxi in Dubai before his disappearance.
As anxiety grows with each passing day, family members are appealing to anyone who may have been at Jumeirah Beach on June 13, or anyone who has information that could assist in locating him, to come forward.
“We are requesting everyone to share widely and help us trace Mathew,” one family member said in a public appeal.
The family remains hopeful that he will be found safe and reunited with his loved ones. Anyone with information that may assist in the search is urged to contact the family at 0527006031.
