Nairobi, Kenya: The Lenana School has disclosed that their students went on a rampage and rioted after a function dabbed as the Maroon Festival did not go as expected.
In a statement shared on Facebook, Lenana School defined the Maroon Festival as an event where students showcase their various talents, and this time they were unhappy with how the school management organised it and the response by other schools who had been invited.
The theme of this event was Creating, Innovating and Connecting CBC skills through artificial intelligence, and it was to be held on the school grounds at 10am. When the day came, things didn’t go as expected, and thebys went on a rampage.
The school holds that after the students shared their dissatisfaction, a meeting was held where the administration met with school representatives to discuss their grievances. The school claims the students retreated to their dorms after learning that they could go home.

According to the school, the students destroyed the window panes, main school hall,library , sceience laboratories ansd some CCTV cameras.
