Millwall winger Femi Azeez made an instant impression for the senior national team of Nigeria, the Super Eagles, with a brace in their 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in the opening game of the Unity Cup.
Azeez wasted no time in making his mark when he unleashed a left foot drive to open the scoring for Nigeria in the fourth minute.
His display showed why the Head Coach of the senior team of Nigeria, Eric Chelle, pulled all the stops to cap him for Nigeria ahead of England.
The 24-year-old made the team of the year in the English Championship.
Chelle likened his style of play to that of Bayern Munich French winger of Nigerian descent, Michael Olise, and he showed why in his first game for Nigeria.
