In the wake of the news of Baba Ijesha’s marriage to Luminee, Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has shared a cryptic post.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she said God isn’t a man and doesn’t judge or bow to people’s opinions, mockery, or decisions. She noted how when men reject, God restores.
According to her, His mercy isn’t limited by human understanding and His blessings aren’t controlled by human approval. Mercy said God gives second chances, fresh starts, and unexpected favours.
“God is not a man.
He does not judge as men judge, nor does he bow to the opinions, mockery, or decisions of people.
What men reject, God can restore. What men condemn, God can redeem. When others close doors, God can open windows no one knew existed.
His mercy is not limited by human understanding, and His blessings are not controlled by human approval.
He is the God of second chances, fresh starts, and unexpected favour. He lifts whom He chooses, blesses whom He wills, and writes stories that leave even doubters speechless.
One of the greatest forms of peace is arriving at a place where you no longer crave to be understood, admired, pitied, or even liked by everyone.
True peace comes when your confidence is rooted in God, not in people’s opinions. When you stop seeking validation from the world, you begin to experience the freedom that comes from knowing whose own you are.

Recall that in 2021, comedienne Princess accused Ijesha of defiling her 14-year-old ward. In a video that was made available online, the actress accused Baba Ijesha of molesting her daughter without consent.
In 2022, Baba Ijesha had bagged 5 years imprisonment for raping comedienne, Princess’s 14 years old daughter.
On Friday, November 15th, 2025, the famous actor was released from prison, after spending over three years in custody over alleged sexual assault.
Speaking out, Baba Ijesha, in an interview with Biola, had addressed his rape allegations, maintaining that he isn’t a pedophile nor a rapist. He said Princess knows she has betrayed everyone she has ever been friends with, and expressed how hurt he was by how Iyabo Ojo turned on him. He noted that he had taken care of her kids when they were younger, yet she doubted him.
